PROJECT BRIEF

The Briars Special Early Learning Centre is a unique centre of education and operates as the only stand-alone specialised preschool in Australia. With a focus on communication, the education centre provides a dedicated service to children with complex communication needs.

Climbing Tree Creations main priority of the design and construction of the centre’s playground is that it met the various needs of the young people, including providing access to children with additional mobility challenges.

The end result, is an inviting playspace that engaged all the senses for enhanced learning. Including a multi-level tower with connecting ramps, engaging colour, sound and smell aspects and fun-filled play elements that the children will enjoy. Softening the hard landscaping is lush pockets of plantings and secluded, shaded greenspaces for outdoor learning opportunities.
