Eureka Landscapes Jingeri Park 001

CATEGORY: Commercial over $1 Million

PROJECT BRIEF

Meaning “greeting all of you” in local Yugambeh language, Jingeri Park was constructed by Eureka Landscapes to act as the perfect gathering point for residents and the wider community with a focus on sustainable, green placemaking.

With an aquatic design inspired by the Cleveland Point Lighthouse, play equipment focuses around a lighthouse and jetty structure which stands tall at the centre. The addition of a basketball court, seats, tables, and bike racks transform the space into a multicultural hub.

The local First Nations people were heavily involved in the design of the park, which is showcased in native flora and way-finding play elements, including three fig trees chosen for their ties to First Nations culture and local plant species.
