PROJECT BRIEF

Silver Jubilee, the latest park for Springfield, has been designed to promote social interaction and problem solving by providing less structured play. The park provides a wide range of activities that encompasses all ages and skill levels.

Eureka Landscapes have created a brightly-coloured obstacle course that is visually striking and weaves throughout the whole space. The surrounding landscape is intertwined in the play, featuring activity ideas and instructions. A toddler play area, the Music Trail, features musical tubes and drums to create sound. Paired with two grass sporting fields and six basketball courts, it is the perfect destination for multi-faceted play at all ages.

The wi-fi controlled lighting system and installation of public amenities and seating area facilitate the sense of community, with ample room for BBQs and picnics. The addition of thousands of plants, and over 60,000sqm of turf offers the traditional greenery of a public park, however equitable access paths and ramps provide the benefits of modern infrastructure.

JUDGING COMMENTS

The contractor has impressively transformed a park into a vibrant community space with a diverse range of recreational opportunities, featuring multiple sports fields, basketball courts, and netball courts. Countless elements, finishes, and the collective expertise of multiple technical trades within the adventure playground are executed at the highest standard. This project’s remarkable achievement, marked by its enormity of scope and the challenges it overcame, makes it a significant contribution to the community and a prime example of landscape construction excellence.
