PROJECT BRIEF

The Hamilton Reserve Redevelopment Project, a cornerstone of the Council’s ambitious five-year beautification strategy, has given new life to an untouched expanse in Vale Park. Once known primarily for its dryland grass and mature trees, the reserve now emerges as a meticulously planned public domain that not only complements the River Torrens Linear Park but also enhances the region’s overall landscape.

The park’s features are many and varied: hand-built stone walls, framed garden beds, picnic shelters that invite communal gatherings, and interwoven asphalt paths ensure accessibility for all. Incorporating innovative play spaces and landscaping techniques, the site introduces an interactive turf labyrinth, and bespoke nature play elements. Hidden symbols scattered throughout the park invite visitors on a quest, culminating in a coded message. Additionally, expansive turf areas present spaces for varied recreational pursuits.
