PROJECT BRIEF
Beautifully designed on an acreage property in Yandina Creek, this oasis landscape is the perfect backyard escape for the homeowners. According to McMahon Earth Solutions, the clients brief was to transform a flat grassy area into a rocky, bouldered space with a layered approach. Through the construction of raised garden beds and an enchanting sunken firepit wrapped in stone the clients brief was met.

The blonde granite is featured throughout the landscape in boulders and other retaining walls, tying the garden together. The stone texture perfectly completes metal art sculptures featured within the landscape. The stone and metal materials are softened by the soft turf mounds behind the firepit.

A spectacular statement in the landscape in the 5-metre-high bottle tree that was transplanted into its central location in the garden. The beautiful landscape is an entertainers delight featuring natural materials with vibrant softscaping.

The juxtaposition of soft turf mounds cocooning blonde granite boulders, steel and stone textures with an arid garden and playful metal sculptures amongst lush planting are all anchored by the hero-transplanted bottle tree central to the space. This interesting project has been executed in superb detail and proving a welcoming space to enjoy.”
