PROJECT BRIEF
With an initial brief to resurface the outdoor games court, correct water collecting issues and reinvigorate tired play areas that turned into an expansive redesign and renovation of the school’s playground area and the inclusion of an outdoor learning space.

Working under pressured time slots due to school hours and activities on the school site on the weekends, Outdoor Retreats Landscaping delivered a colourful and vibrant outdoor play and learning area that complemented the school’s heritage features. Including sandstone retaining walls to complement the heritage sandstone church and brickwork alongside timber elements to create a cosy outdoor school environment. Vivid surface painting was installed to add pops of colour to the warm material palette.

Outdoor Retreats Landscaping has designed a new school landscape that echoes existing elements, murals and signage seen throughout the site and engages the students and staff in new educational spaces for learning and play.
